Effie was born in Romania in the summer of 2025 – somewhere on the street, without protection, without a home. Together with her siblings Gale, Haymitch, Peeta, and Katniss, she struggled through daily life, always searching for food, warmth, and a little bit of safety.

When the animal rescuers found them, the little ones were hungry and exhausted, but full of the will to live. Arriving at the animal shelter, Effie experienced for the first time a life not defined by mere survival: a full food bowl, a warm place to sleep, and hands that touched her gently.

At the animal shelter, she displayed typical puppyish playfulness, openness, and a love of people. She approached people curiously, allowed herself to be petted and picked up without any problems – and as soon as she was in someone's arms, she quickly calmed down. Her little heart then beat very calmly, as if she were saying: "Here I feel safe."

Compared to her siblings, Effie is a bit more reserved. She loves contact and seeks closeness, but when all the attention is on her, she sometimes retreats into or behind the kennel. Never out of fear – but because the world can sometimes seem a bit big for such a small creature. Nevertheless, she was friendly, attentive, and completely unremarkable during all visits. There were hardly any signs of fear or insecurity around other dogs.

Effie is currently the smallest of the litter. Precisely because of this, she surprises everyone every day with her courage and sensitivity. She has everything a puppy needs to thrive in a loving home – curiosity, gentleness, trust, and that quiet twinkle in her eyes that says, "I want to explore the world."

Her character is only just beginning to take shape. Only the first small outlines are visible – a gentle being, slowly blossoming and ready to discover the world if given time and love.
